The first thing you have to do is to install the Vcom Divers and the SP Flashtool downloaded.
How To Install VCOM Drivers?
1. Extract the downloaded Vcom Drivers into your choice folder
2. Navigate to Device Manager ►Action ►Add Legacy Hardware
3. A pop up will come up: Add new hardware. Click next
4. Choose Advanced Option and click next
5. Choose "show all devices" and click next.
6. Click "have disk"
7. Navigate to your Vcom Drivers extracted folder and select the driver setup up file and click
open, then OK.
8. Choose Mediatek preloader usb vcom driver and click next.
How To Install SPFlashtool?
1. Disconnect any existing internet connection
2. Navigate to the folder you downloaded the program to.
3. Double-click and follow normal installation process.
4. Accept all terms and conditions. Program installed
The final and most important step is to flash the 6.0 Marshmallow update.
How Can I Flash Marshmallow On My Infinix Hot 2?
1. Remove any external peripherial on your device (sim cards, sd cards, etc)
2. Extract the Android 6.0 Rom file you downloaded to your choice location (prefarably on Desktop).
3. Power off your device, remove the battery and re-insert it.
4. Launch SP flash tool
5. After launching the program wait for it to load. After loading, click the Scatter-loading button.
6. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the Infinix Hot 2 ROM and select the "MT6580_Android_scatter.txt "
7. After the above step, it returns you to the program interface. Click "Download' in SP Flash Tool and the flashing process should begin.
8. At the point, connect your device to your computer using your USB cable and wait for the whole process to complete. Takes about 20 minutes or less, depending on the speed of your processor.
9. After flashing is complete, you will see a green circle tick.
After that, unplug your USB, remove and re-insert your battery and power on your phone. Wait for your phone to boot. It will take about 10mins to boot into the new OS.
